Lisa Davis
Meet Lisa Davis, the Executive VP and Chief Information Officer at Blue Shield of California, and a driving force behind the company's $24 billion health plan.
Previously she served at Intel Corporation, one of the world’s most valuable chip companies, where she led the company to profitability after a 4-year decline by adopting a more "data-centric" approach.
Holding a BS in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and an MS in HR Management from Golden Gate University, Lisa Davis began her career in 1999 as an Information Officer under the United States government.
➡ In 2012, she joined Georgetown University as VP of Information Services, where she led a team of over 300 people with an annual budget of $55M
➡ In 2015, she joined Intel as VP and GM of Digital Transformation where she was responsible for developing the IT architecture supporting Intel's global supply chain
➡ In 2020, she joined Blue Shield of California, a not-for-profit healthcare plan where she is in charge of creating a progressive approach to cloud computing, security and data analytics
At Blue Shield, Davis helped introduce Care Connect, a Salesforce-powered care management system that provides real-time data to clinical teams, allowing them to offer quicker and more personalized services.
Lisa Davis has served as a board member at numerous organizations including CIO Magazine, Blue Shield of California Foundation, TriWest Healthcare Alliance, Movius and Harrisburg University.

Davis is a strong advocate for women in STEM and has led professional development initiatives for Blue Shield’s Elevating Women group, which supports the development and success of women at all career levels. She previously partnered with Girls Who Code to establish its first Club at Georgetown University to provide a year-long coding curriculum and a support network to young women on campus.
