Meet Navrina Singh, the CEO of Credo AI, which helps organizations embed AI in their processes responsibly and safely.

Born and raised in India, Navrina studied in the US and held multiple product and business leadership roles at Microsoft and Qualcomm over a 20-year career before she founded Credo AI, a responsible AI platform, in 2020.

Navrina also serves on the National AI Advisory Committee (NAIAC) to advise President Biden and the National AI Initiative Office in the White House.

Here's what Credo AI does:

▶ Credo AI is a Responsible AI software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that enables comprehensive and continuous governance, oversight, and accountability of an organization's AI models.

Some key features:

- The platform provides a central Governance hub for AI to analyze AI use cases. It highlights AI risk issues, including fairness, performance, privacy, security, and transparency.

- It also reviews compliance with the latest regulations like the EU AI Act and New York City's Local Law No. 144.

- Most recently, it announced its generative AI guardrails module that helps mitigate emerging risks such as data leakages, inappropriate content, code security vulnerabilities, and IP infringement.

Importantly, it puts humans at the center of controlling AI through an interface for tracking and explainability to stakeholders, executives, and boards.

▶ With the massive interest in AI for competitive advantage and operational efficiency, Credo AI has been recognized for making it easier for organizations to deploy AI safely. The company was:

- recognized as a 2022 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer
- named as a key responsible AI governance platform by IDC
- awarded Fast Company's 2022 Next Big Thing in Tech Award.

▶ Credo AI, founded in 2020, has raised $18.3 million in funding, most recently from consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, which is working with Credo to build responsible AI solutions for its US federal and agency customers.

When my teammates and I at Addo AI build and deploy AI use cases for enterprise clients, we always highlight governance as a critical corollary to using AI.

Navrina is spot on in emphasizing that safely deploying AI methodically and systematically is the only way to become an AI-powered company.
