Sarah Guo, the founder of Conviction, an early-stage VC firm that invests in AI companies, and raised $101M soon after its inception in 2022.

Conviction has made significant investments in companies like Essential AI, Cognition, and Mistral AI.

With four degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, including an MBA, Guo is a venture capitalist who is on the board of numerous startups, such as HeyGen, Awake Security, and Coda.

Career Highlights:
* Goa’s career took off at Goldman Sachs in 2011, where she helped Workday take their company public and was involved in Goldman Sachs’ investment in Dropbox. She has also worked with public companies such as Twitter, Netflix, and NVIDIA.

* In 2013, she became Greylock Partners’ first female partner, helping incubate game-changers like Figma and Obsidian Security.

* In 2022, she launched Conviction and soon after earned a spot on Forbes' 30 Under 30 in the VC list.

Besides her venture work, Guo hosts the podcast ‘No Priors,’ featuring tech leaders like NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang and Character.ai’s Noam Shazeer.

Guo credits her entrepreneurial spirit to her family, with both her parents being entrepreneurs who started a software company for wireless and cable networks.

At 14, she built her first website for her parents' company, marking the start of her tech journey. Guo describes her childhood as "abnormal" due to her immersion in the startup world, which she says instilled in her a deep respect for the grit it takes to succeed.
