Meet Clara Shih, the CEO of Salesforce AI, a suite of AI tools helping businesses make informed decisions, automate tasks, and improve customer experiences.

From co-founding Hearsay Systems - a financial services digital channel to authoring best-selling books and spearheading initiatives at Salesforce, she has carved her name into the world of AI.

She earned her B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford and an M.S. in Internet Studies from the University of Oxford as a U.S. Marshall Scholar. During her studies, she interned at Goldman Sachs and Microsoft.

Her career trajectory revolves around being;

- a Business Operations Analyst at Google
- a General Manager at Salesforce, leading the team that built the AppExchange, which became the most successful SaaS developer platform and ecosystem

She has also been a member of the board of directors at Starbucks and Ad Council, and a member of the Diversity Advisory Council at Code.org.

She has been involved in various philanthropic initiatives, such as:

- Founder of Camp Amelia Technology Literacy Group, a nonprofit organization working on improving basic education in underserved communities.
- Volunteered in East Palo Alto, promoting STEM education among low-income elementary students in her free time.

Apart from her corporate roles, Shih actively mentors and invests in aspiring tech entrepreneurs, particularly women in tech.

She has also authored 2 books, ‘The Facebook Era’ and ‘The Social Business Imperative,’ both focused on harnessing social media's power for social business.

She has been featured as/in:
- one of the “100 Most Influential People in AI” by TIME in 2023
- Fintech Woman of the Year by Finovate in 2019
- one of CNBC’s “Disruptor 50” in 2015
- a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2013
- publications such as Fortune and Forbes.

I admire her focus on promoting education and advancing women in tech, particularly her philanthropic efforts. She is certainly a woman to watch as we approach 2024, as said by TIME:
