Jae Sook Evans
Celebrating this week's Woman in AI: Meet Jae Sook Evans, CIO and Executive VP at Oracle, one of the largest software companies today with a $53B revenue this year and a market cap of more than $380B.
With a BA in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara and an MBA from Golden Gate University, Evans has over 20 years of experience leading global tech teams at Electronic Arts, Walmart and Oracle.
A look at her career:
► Evans directed international teams of infrastructure engineers at WebEx and Macrovision.
► In 2008, she joined Electronic Arts as Senior Director of Online Infrastructure, where she managed the delivery of infrastructure services for online games, including systems, storage, and global network services.
► In 2012, she joined Saba Software as Senior VP of Global Cloud Operations, where she was responsible for the delivery of the infrastructure and platform services of their cloud solutions.
► In 2018, Evans was hired by Walmart as Senior VP of Global Infrastructure Engineering, where she led the eCommerce and store tech operations.
In 2020, Jae Sook Evans joined Oracle—she is responsible for accelerating Oracle's cloud transformation. She oversees core platform services such as commercial systems, multi-cloud services, identity services, and cloud security.
She is also leading Oracle’s gen AI solutions aimed at enhancing customer experience without technical expertise.
Jae Sook Evans has been featured as one of:
► Women in Tech’s 100 Executive Women in Tech to Watch in 2024

I commend Jae Sook Evans’ advocacy for people from varying backgrounds—being an Asian American herself, she is an executive sponsor for Oracle’s Diversity and Inclusion program and took a pledge to support diversity alongside other Oracle employees in 2021.
