Kanjun Qiu

Kanjun Qiu, co-founder of Imbue, one of the few woman-led AI unicorns that focuses on AI agents that not only code but also reason.

Imbue just secured $200 million in Series B funding, resulting in a company valuation of over $1 billion in two years (all with a team of just 20 people).

Unlike Open AI and other competitors that focus on building large AI models like GPT-4, Imbue is developing AI agents with the ability to replicate human decision-making for complex tasks.

These agents serve as virtual assistants with the ability to independently analyze, adapt, and execute tasks without constant oversight. This self-sufficiency can be beneficial in various fields, such as biology research, travel planning, and complex coding projects.

Kanjun has:

- been honored as Forbes 30 Under 30: Enterprise Technology in 2020
- been the CEO and co-founder of Ember Hardware and Sourceress - raising $3.5M in funding.
- co-authored two books, including Sew Electric (a book that uses sewable electronics to teach kids programming), and Tinkered with Hardware at MIT Media Lab.

No demo is available to the public at the moment for Imbue but keep an eye out for Imbue's AI agents.
